net neutrality updated 2

I'm in favor of net neutrality, but it seems as though the FCC is going to have a difficult time in classifying a regulatory body or law on this topic.  Strong opinions by those who favor net neutrality would like to see Internet service providers such as Comcast and Verizon to be reclassified from a broadband to a Title II communications service.
·
·         Not having Net Nuetrality would create a monopoly around the Internet service providers. There is speculation that providers will start to launch their own websites and search engines to compete with Yahoo and Google. Or sign Contracts with these companies for faster service and traffic speeds.  The major concern is that these service providers will slow down their competition in order to get consumers to visit their own websites or websites of their clients first.

The FCC needs to respond immediately regarding this problem. Our society depends on the Internet to break through new initiatives in life and technology. Internet service providers already make enough money from their consumers. It's not fair for the web to be treated as a marketplace that discriminates against small business owners and favors traditional giants and conglomerates. Smalltime websites from local business owners will be hurt from this move and the only people that will benefit from this will be Internet service providers which already have a huge revenue base.

Websites like YouTube and Facebook might never have launched to be giants if this was in effect during the launching of their websites. Imagine the amount costs that they would've had to pay Internet service providers for all the traffic that was generated on their site. Society in particular will be hurt by this move.
